SAN ANTONIO, TX (WOAI) - A former SAPD officer has been sentenced to federal prison.

Police say 37-year-old Curtis Lundy tried to get a suspect to pay him $500 to get out of a marijuana charge back in 2012.

The suspect called the F.B.I., turned in recorded phone calls, and even caught Lundy on camera picking up the cash.

Lundy plead guilty last year.

Monday afternoon, he was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison followed by two years of supervised release.
