HOUSTON, TX (KPRC) - A Houston man was arrested after allegedly assaulting several members of his family because his children didn't do their homework.
Houston police said Jonathan Rocha, 34, was drunk when he returned home on Friday night. Police said that's when he assaulted two of his children and his wife.
Police said an 8-year-old girl was transported to the hospital with head and back wounds. Investigators said a 13-year-old girl was also assaulted and had swelling, but she did not need to be taken to the hospital.
There was a 10-year-old boy in the home, but police said he was not assaulted.
Investigators said Rocha's wife was assaulted, but not transported to the hospital.
Rocha was charged with injury to a child under 15 and assault of a family member. He is being held in the Harris County Jail on $20,000 bond.
