SAN ANTONIO, TX (WOAI) - Police have arrested a man they believe shot another man for "looking at him."
Court documents show Gus Pena Elizondo is charged in connection with the incident which happened last May. Investigators say Elizondo lives at the same address as the victim.
One day last May, the victim went to the back of the home to get his laundry when police say Elizondo began to argue with him for "looking at him." Police say Elizondo then tried to cut the victim with a knife, but the victim managed to get away from the defendant.
Later that same day, police say Elizondo was walking back to the house from a convenience store when he and the victim crossed paths. Officers say Elizondo continued to argue with the victim. He allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the thigh.
The victim survived. Elizondo is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
