Police are looking for a man who they say has burglarized nearly a dozen U-Haul stores in the Houston area.

Officials said the man always strikes at night and his method is usually the same.

In a burglary on old Katy Road, the man drove up in previously stolen U-Haul truck before tossing a large rock through the front door. He was in and out of the store in 30 seconds. He left with the cash drawer, headed to the parking lot, and drove off in a different stolen truck.

During a burglary at a U-Haul lot on Fondren on March 3, the man arrived in a stolen truck and broke into the office. This time he took a television bolted to the wall. He drove off in a different truck on the lot.

“Basically he's showing up after the business is shut down and he's going through the front door, either throwing something through front window or kicking it down,” said Jeff McShan, spokesman for Crime Stoppers of Houston.

Since the beginning of March, the man has burglarized ten storage lots that police are aware of. Officials believe there are more.

Houston police are asking anyone with information on this man’s identity to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward up to $5,000 in this case.
