The Texas police officer that shot and killed a 93-year-old woman loses his job.
The City Council in Hearne, Texas, north of Houston, voted unanimously on Saturday to fire the officer who killed Pearlie Golden on Tuesday night.
She was shot at her home.
Police say she had a gun when the officer arrived in response to a 911 call.
Investigators are not releasing details of what happened, but Golden's nephew tells a local TV station she armed herself when he refused to return her car keys after she couldn't get her driver's license renewed.
This is the officer's second deadly shooting in the line of duty.
He was cleared of any wrongdoing in the first shooting.
