HOUSTON, TX (KPRC) - Houston police are searching for suspects after a pregnant woman was violently murdered while working at a gentleman's club on the city's southwest side.

The Houston Police Department said a 911 call was made around 4:40 p.m. Saturday by the manager of Eclipse Gentleman's Club.

When police arrived, they found the body of a Hispanic woman inside.

According to homicide investigators, the victim worked as a cleaning lady at the club during the day.

The victim's husband said that he talked to his wife when she arrived at work, but after a while he was unable to reach her.

Worried, the husband drove to the club, but was unable to get inside, so he called the business's manager.

When the manager arrived, both men went inside and found the woman's body lying on the floor.

According to police, the victim had been brutally beaten or strangled.

Investigators said this was a robbery.

Officials say the suspect entered through the back door to take the cash register, which had over $1,000 in it.

Police are investigating whether the suspect was surprised by the victim being there or knew she would be there and had intended to kill her.

The woman was five months pregnant, so the suspect will be facing two counts of capital murder.

According to homicide investigators, there is good video from surveillance cameras and they have a lead on who the suspect might be.
