Shooting in Temple, suspect on the run with child

TEMPLE, TX (KCEN) - A man is on the run with his two-year-old child after he shot his wife in Temple.

Around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, a man shot his wife two to three times and then fled with their two-year-old child.

Officials say that the wife had a protective order against the suspect.

The shooting happened in Temple at the Greenbrier Park Apartments on 13th Street.

The woman was transported to Scott & White Hospital for surgery with non life-threatening.

The suspect is 30-year-old Vincent Corson. He is described to be a black male and wearing a dark hoodie and pants. He is believed to be living in Killeen.

He is driving a 2007 maroon colored Mazda M6i. The license plate is CCS2279.

If you have any information, you are urged to contact police.

An AMBER Alert has been issued for this child.
