Texas lawyer arrested in Corpus Christi

Paul Andrews, who practices law in Corpus Christi and San Antonio is already facing a charge of felony barratry, or illegally soliciting clients.

Texas rangers were unable to locate Andrews at his office in San Antonio, but did find him in Corpus Christi.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (NBC) - A Texas attorney has found himself in hot water.

Paul Andrews, who practices law in Corpus Christi and San Antonio is already facing a charge of felony barratry, or illegally soliciting clients.

Now, the district attorney for Bexar County is accusing him in a conspiracy to have a witness in the case killed.

Texas rangers were unable to locate Andrews at his office in San Antonio, but did find him in Corpus Christi.

He had an appearance before a judge Thursday morning to hear the charges against him.

The solicitation of capital murder charge carries a maximum punishment of 99 years in prison.
