ROBSTOWN, TEXAS (CNN/KIII) - It was quite the scene in the Robstown area Thursday evening after two 18-wheelers collided. One of those was transporting cotton – sending it flying in all directions.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.

It happened around 5:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 77. The Department of Public Safety says one of the trucks, the one carrying cotton, failed to yield the right of way as it was crossing the highway. That’s when it was hit by another 18-wheeler heading north on that highway.

“Yeah, I did hear the collision. I was about a mile down. That’s how loud it was,” said Isaac DeLeon, with the Robstown Police Department. “We also had vehicle moving to the side of the road. I didn’t realize it was this bad until I got here.”

Fortunately, the drivers of both trucks were not hurt. That roadway has now been cleared of all debris.
