San Antonio police arrested twin brothers later Wednesday night in connection with a deadly shooting on the west side.

SAN ANTONIO, TX (WOAI) - San Antonio police arrested twin brothers later Wednesday night in connection with a deadly shooting on the west side.

Davonne & Javonne McFadden are suspects in the April 8th shooting death of Afghanistan war veteran, 23-year-old Ron Casillas. Police said Casillas was shot and killed near Rainbow Hills Park According to the arrest affidavit, Casillas was found lying in the driveway at a home in the 300 block of Scotty at 5:30pm on April 8th.

The affidavit reads that Casillas had been riding in the car with his nephew, and that the two had gone to the park. According the affidavit, the nephew's father told police that he believed his son and the victim had gone to the park so that his son could buy drugs.

The affidavit states the nephew told police he was at the park to meet up with someone who owed him money. When he went to the park, he was met with two men in a car who eventually opened fire.

The affidavit states the suspects were identified through a photo lineup and that they eventually admitted to police they were at the scene and that they fired their weapons.
