MISSOURI CITY, TEXAS (KPRC) -- We're getting our first look at video investigators say shows an elementary school teacher causing a crash that forced a police officer to jump off a bridge.
The video shows Missouri City Police Officer Kenneth Lewis forced to make the jump of his life. You can hear tires screeching and when Officer Lewis hears that and sees what's coming toward him, he jumps 30 feet off the bridge to save himself.
Officer Lewis survived and is expected to recover. Investigators say the driver of the car that almost plowed into him is a teacher. They say she was drunk at the time.
Christie Diane Biggers works at Scanlon Oaks Elementary School as a physical education teacher. She's charged with intoxication assault.
Her attorney told Local 2 she wants to apologize to Lewis' family
