(NBC) - More technical troubles for Target.

The retailer says computer glitches in some of its check-out systems caused delays and long lines at some of its stores Sunday evening.

In a written statement, Target acknowledged the problem but said it's in no way related to a security issue.

It also didn't make clear just how many stores were impacted.

Frustrated customers took to Twitter to complain about the long lines and inability to pay for purchases.

Sunday's glitch comes at an inopportune time for the retailer, which is still trying to regain customers' trust following a crippling data breach late last year.
