SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (KGNS) -- Twitter tirades.

Alec Baldwin and Kanye West are guilty of them - and chances are - your friends are, too.

Now Twitter has created a way for you to mute such tweets without that person knowing.

Twitter began rolling out its new "mute" feature on Tuesday and everyone will have it within the coming weeks.

It allows you to hide tweets and re-tweets.

The targeted tweeter will still be able to fave, reply to and re-tweet your tweets, but you won't see any of it on your timeline.

The muted user will not know you've muted them, and you can unmute at any time.

You must be logged in to post comments.
