KIEV, UKRAINE (NBC) - A strange sight in the capital of Ukraine Friday.

A man wearing a Darth Vader costume with another person in a Stormtrooper costume arrived to meet reporters with his own campaign music.

After trying to run for president of Ukraine and being rejected, the anonymous man is running for the mayor of Kiev.

He doesn't sound like Darth Vader though.

He told reporters he's not a former politician who robbed the country, but he pledged he won't take off his helmet and reveal his identity if he's elected.

He's the mayoral candidate of the "Internet party of Ukraine" that claims to have 50,000 members.

He said dictatorship has appeared in Ukraine again, but democracy is needed.

Eighteen candidates are running to be the mayor of Kiev. The election is Sunday, May 25.
