Death certificates discussed for missing Malaysian airline passengers

Senior government and airline officials met with the relatives of people on-board that missing Malaysian plane. They discussed the issuing of death certificates and financial assistance for the families.

At a press conference after the meeting, Malaysia's Deputy Foreign Minister, who also acts as the head of the Next-of-Kin committee, stressed that all passengers would be treated equally.

He says the issuing of death certificates was still a work in progress, and the amount of financial assistance had yet to be decided.
