Pope Expresses Outrage Over Violence In Iraq

Pope Francis expressed outrage at the violence aimed at religious minorities in Iraq during his weekly Sunday blessing.

In a strongly worded message, the Pope said that the news from Iraq "leaves us in disbelief and dismay," and called on the world to stop the crimes there.

Francis said his personal emissary would travel to Iraq to show solidarity with Christians, who are among those targeted by Islamic militants.
