Bulldog Softball Eyeing a Banner

It's been over a decade since the Alexander softball program made it out of the first round, something this years group is looking to change.

Dos Laredos took a two run lead after the opening inning Tuesday and never looked back on their way to a 9-3 win at Unitrade Stadium.

Martin needed a win Tuesday night to keep their hopes of the postseason alive but it's Pioneer that comes out on top, beating the Tigers 7-3.

Tuesday saw the St. Augustine boys and the Zapata girls each take 2nd in their regional tournaments, meaning they are off to state as teams.

Five first inning runs gave United a big lead and they added to it often, including a two run homer by Omar Cervantes to top Alexander 10-0.
