TAMIU has named former player and assistant coach Ryan Flynn as their next head baseball coach.

The TAMIU baseball spent the past month searching for a new head coach while the right candidate appeared to be under their nose the whole time. The Dustdevils have named assistant coach Ryan Flynn as their next leader for their baseball program. Flynn was a member of the original Dustdevils baseball team and had a stellar career for TAMIU, still ranking as tops in the schools history in batting average, runs batted in and on base percentage. He will take over a team that went 16-34 overall in 2014, including an 8-22 mark in conference play just one year after making the Heartland Conference playoffs. Flynn is currently a player coach for the Lemurs where he's scored three runs on two hits this season.
