Pair of Dustdevils Named to Conference Awards

The TAMIU basketball teams enter the Heartland Conference tournaments this weekend with some individual hardware after the all-conference teams were announced today. For the men Jordan Clark leads the way being honored twice as the conferences Defensive Player of the Year and making the all conference 2nd team. The senior averaged almost a steal and a half per game while cleaning up the boards to the tune of four and a half per game.

Matthew Culliver is the lone first teamer from the Dustdevils, having led tamiu to a second place finish in conference. While his stats weren't amazing at just under ten points and five assists a game, it was his leadership that helped TAMIU succeed.

The Dustdevils draw St. Mary's in the first round of the conference tournament Friday evening. The two teams have combined for five overtimes in their two meetings this year with the Rattlers taking both games.
