A pair of Longhorn soccer players are off to TAMIU to play for the Dustdevils. Andres Marcos, flanked by his parents on either side, made his decision official today signing on the dotted line. This young man worked his way through the United team eventually starting and making all district his senior year. Marcos felt the style of play at TAMIU is very similar to United and that should help him fit right in very quickly.
Marcos plans to study engineering while playing midfielder for the Dustdevils beginning this fall.
Joining Marcos at TAMIU will be United senior Rodrigo de la Pasqua who helped dominate the midfield for the Longhorns on his way to an all-district honor. At the start of the season the Longhorn wasn't sure if he'd ever get a chance to play competitive soccer once his senior year was over. So to have a chance to continue the division two level is too much to pass up.
De la Pasqua will also play midfielder for the Dustdevils while going after a degree in engineering at TAMIU.
