The TAMIU baseball season is over after a disappointing 16-34 finish but the Dustdevils did get a bit of good news today as three of their players were honored by the Heartland Conference. Junior catcher Alex McKeon was named to the all conference first team while also picking up a gold glove for his work behind the plate. McKeon led tamiu with a .354 batting average and in runs scored with 28.
Junior outfielder Jake Cardoza was tabbed to the all conference second team and senior infielder Gordie Taggart brought home a gold glove. TAMIU figures to field a strong team next year as they only lose six seniors from the 2014 team.
