Pair of No-Hitters for Laredo Teams in Tournaments

Checking in on the out of town scoreboard for high school baseball and softball teams in tournament action today. In softball, the United South girls fall in two of their three games, blanking Orange Grove 6-0 but only squeezing one run across in loses to Carroll and Calallen. Things didn't go any better for the LBJ girls who were swept today losing to Hutto and Uvalde in tournament play.

In baseball the LBJ boys split their two games with Jesus Barrera throwing a no hitter with ten strikeouts in the 4-0 win over Donna. In San Antonio the United South boys also with a split of their games falling to Central Catholic but knocking off Warren. And in single games both Alexander and United win today, the Bulldogs 6-3 over San Antonio Stevens. While the Longhorns blanked Mayde Creek in five innings thanks to a no hitter from Jose Castro.
