Pair of Gonzalez pitchers combine to no-hit rival Alexander, as the Longhorns hand the Bulldogs their first district loss.
Thursday night was a battle of top teams in district 29-5A and it was the Longhorns that come away with a 4-2 victory. Eddie and Jorge Gonzalez combined to no-hit their rivals, with the two runs given up being unearned. United jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning thanks to three hits, including an Isaac Gutierrez double. The Bulldogs could not get their bats going and squandered a great chance in the 5th. Alexander loaded the bases with no one out but could only squeeze across a lone run. This is Alexanders first loss since falling to top ranked Moody in the Border Olympics.
