Longhorns Putting Rough Finish Behind Them

The United baseball team was fighting for the district title through the first round of 29-5A play but a rough end of the season saw the Longhorns lose three of their final four games.

The Longhorns enter the playoffs having lost three of four, but that doesn't worry them one bit.

Every team wants to go into the playoffs riding a hot winning streak but that isn't always the case. The United baseball team was fighting for the district title through the first round of 29-5A play but a rough end of the season saw the Longhorns lose three of their final four games. As their bi-district round series with Edinburgh North approaches United is focusing on putting that poor play behind them and instead getting back to the basics on the practice field.

United and Edinburg North will start their best of three series tomorrow night in Alice at 7:30.
