A pair of Laredo ISD teams were looking to continue their historic runs through the UIL playoffs as Nixon and Cigarroa took the pitch for their fourth round games. We start down in the valley where the Mustangs were looking to pull off an upset of a Valley View team that has dominated it's opponents in the postseason. The Tigers on the offensive early and often tonight, Jesus Soto ends up with goal, that is a big one. With that score Soto broke the state record for scores in a season with 71, he'd add two more to get him to 73. Nixon struggles as Valley View blanks the Mustangs 6-0.
Things didn't go any better for the Toros who fall 2-0 despite playing two men up for much of the 2nd half. Congrats to both these teams on great runs into the region IV sectional round.
