Wolves & Longhorns Come out Victorious

Both Laredo teams were able to come away with wins in game one of their series Friday night, but in very different ways. United beats Sharyland 8-3, while LBJ wins 10-9 over Edinburg.

Both United and LBJ come out on top in game one of their bi-district round games Friday.

It would be a back and forth affair early on at the SAC as United hosted Sharyland. The Longhorns got on top first with a run in the first before the Rattlers struck back with two in the second. The Longhorns though were not fazed scoring four runs in the third, taking control of the game. They'd play add on softball for an 8-3 win and a 1-0 lead in the series.

Over in Kingsville, the LBJ Wolves fell behind early and looked like they were dead in the water trailing 9-4 in the bottom of the seventh. The Wolves would not give up though, scoring six runs including the game winning double off the the bat of Tania Castro to win 10-9. They will play game two of their series Saturday at noon, once again in Kingsville.
