For the second year in a row the LBJ Wolves softball team is gearing up for a run in the UIL playoffs. This years squad finished with an 18-13 record overall but went 9-3 in district play good for 2nd place out of 29-5A. LBJ will draw Edinburg in the bi-district round of the playoffs starting Friday, a team they are confident they can beat. One of the reasons for optimism is their ability to hit the ball throughout the lineup with all ten regular players hitting over 300.
LBJ and Edinburg will kick off their three game series Friday night at Texas A&M Kingsville. Game two and if necessary game three will come Saturday also in Kingsville.
