Just two seasons ago the LBJ football team made school history by posting a winning season and just missed out on the playoffs, the future looked bright but the past two years have seen the program decimated by injuries. Now as they get ready for the 2014 campaign there is a renewed sense of life around the Wolves as they continue through fall practices. The injuries that derailed last year’s team could be what put LBJ back into the playoff race and possibly a run at the district title as all those sophomores that saw the field last year are seasoned juniors now.
The Wolves will open the season one week from Friday as they take on CC Winn and head coach Villasenors son Eric, who is the head coach of the Mavericks.
