The Laredo Lemurs baseball season is still over a month away from getting started but prepare to see a lot of fresh faces on the diamond this summer. One of the teams favorite players over their pair of seasons was outfielder John Allen but today he was traded to division rival Grand Prairie. Last season saw Allen hit .308 with 13 homers and 56 runs driven in while setting the all time league record for hits in a career. Allen's wife and daughter live in the Dallas area and a chance to be closer to them was too much to pass up especially with manager Pete Incavligia more than willing to make a deal.
The pitcher Laredo will be bringing in is Josh Strawn who went nine and seven with a 4.08 era last year for the Air Hogs with 67 strikeouts.
