Laredo defeats Amarillo in game one of their series 4-1 thanks to a strong outing from Tyler Pearson.
It was another pitchers duel at Unitrade Stadium Monday night as the Lemurs pick up a 4-1 win over Amarillo. The Sox got on the board first with a solo homer from Josh Miller in the 3rd to lead 1-0. The Lemurs got two back on a wild play in the bottom of the frame. With runners on the corners, Nick Van Stratten laid down a bunt and beat the throw to 1st. On the play Josh Scheffert was able to score easily and Harrison Kain tried for 3rd base. The throw from the Sox would get into left field and Kain would also score on the play, providing the Lemurs with all the scoring they needed. Tyler Pearson provided another great outing, throwing 6 innings, giving up only the one run while striking out 7.
