Lemurs Fall in Series Opener

The Lemurs get doubled up by St. Paul 6-3 on Friday night in their series opener against the Saints.

Laredo gets doubled up by St. Paul in the opener of a three game series, snapping a three game winning streak. The Lemurs got out to a quick 1-0 lead thanks to a JP Ramirez solo homer but couldn't hold on as the Saints struck with six runs over the 4th, 5th and 6th innings. Laredo got two runs back late but couldn't overcome the defeicit. In the loss, Nick Van Stratten was able to extend his hitting streak to 33 games, one short of tying the American Associations all time record. The Lemurs and Saints are now tied for the wild card lead as they continue their series this weekend.
