The Lemurs bounced back from a tough weekend series to sweep Amarillo in a double header Monday, lowering their magic number to clinch the Wild Card to one game. After following behind 1-0 early, Jeremy Strawn shutdown the Sox offense over the final innings, while the Lemurs plated three in the 5th inning. Strawn went the distance for the 2nd straight game, picking up a 3-1 win.
In the nightcap, Michael Suk took the hill and dominated Amarillo just like his teammate did earlier in the day. Suk went six strong innings without allowing a run. JP Ramirez provided the offense with a two run homer in the 2nd inning and that's all they would get or need. Laredo would hold on for a 2-0 win, and now just need one more victory or a Lincoln loss to guarantee a playoff spot.
