July 27th of every year is the MISS Foundation's International Kindness Project Day (www.KindnessProjectDay.org) This day is designated to encourage people to commit acts of kindness throughout the day. Dr. Joanne Cacciatore started the Kindness Project in 1996 as a way for families to cope with the tragedy of a child's death. Since then, more than one million kindnesses have been committed around the globe in memory of children and other loved ones, gone too soon. San Antonio, MISS Foundation chapter is the closest local chapter to offer support to parents and families grieving the loss of a child.
