“The Board is excited to announce the Grand Dance of Legends that will benefit the Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation Center, the only non-profit outpatient facility in Laredo,” stated Mrs. Jackie Rodriguez, Assistant Director. “For over 54 years, the Ruthe B. Cowl Rehabilitation Center has provided the direct medical therapy services to our patients who otherwise would have no other place to go,” she added.

tdK is proud to present the 5th Annual UrbanFest at the Laredo Energy Arena on Sunday, July 6th, 2014 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Presale tickets are $18 and $28 at the door (facility fee included, other fees may apply) and go on sale Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations including the LEA box office, Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000 and select H-E-B Ticketmaster outlets.
A special BOGO (buy one ticket for $18, get another free) promotion will happen for one day only from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
The Urban Festival is the only event in Laredo that combines art and music. This unique event will includes live rock music, rap performances, break dancing, deejay mixes, skateboarding, live graffiti paintings, and local arts and crafts on display. It is aimed at highlighting local talent and uniting current trends. This event is for all ages.
“We encourage families to come out and see what the young adults are doing these days. We want to encourage them to follow their passion, whether it be skating, rockin’, rapping, deejaying, creating art, or break dancing,” said event organizer David Perez, a.k.a. DJ “toodope Dave.”
“UrbanFest is such a unique festival for all styles and tastes. We’re glad that tdK has chosen the arena to host this annual festival,” said Xavier Villalon, general manager of the SMG-managed Laredo Energy Arena.
