Get your holiday season started with a song in your heart by attending this free concert by the Newman Elementary Choir. The choir has many new talented singers in this years’ lineup. Currently, there are 62-3rd grade students, 49-4th grade students and 38-5th grade students enrolled in the choir. The repertoire for this year’s show will feature delightful titles such as “Rock N Roll Snowman”, “Hip Hop Reindeer”, “Do You Wanna Build a Snowman” and “Mamacita Donde Esta Santa Claus”. Admission is free to the public, and seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.

*Note: This annual concert draws large audiences. Early arrival is recommended.

LBVESC Earth Day Celebration

The Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center will hold its annual Earth Day Celebration and 15th anniversary event on Saturday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fun begins with bird watching on the Paso del Indio Trail, followed by tours of the environmental science center. You can learn more about native plants and how to cultivate your own vegetable garden. Admission is free.
