All the proud parents of Laredo have an opportunity to get a better look at their children's achievements.

The United Independent School District will have Open House events at all campuses for parents in honor of Texas Public Schools Week. These events will take place on March 5 and 6 at elementary and secondary schools respectively. The schedule for the open house events is as follows:

March 5, 2014:
Middle Schools: 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
High Schools: 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

March 6, 2014
Elementary Schools: 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Texas Public Schools Week was established to recognize contributions made by the state’s free system of education. Each year, the event has grown and continues to be a meaningful way to showcase and illustrate the many educational opportunities given to more than four million students attending Texas Public Schools.

The event also proves to be a recipe for success as members of the community, parents, and teachers come together across the state of Texas to demonstrate the importance of education especially when young adults make the transition from high school to college.

Educators cannot accomplish this task alone as parent involvement and community support are essential for the success of students across the state.
For more information, contact your child's school campus.
