LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A hot dry airmass remains above most of Texas, around which other weather traffic is being forced to track around.

The trend over the next several days is for the hottest and driest air above to retreat a bit to the west, allowing for a little more of a gulf influence. This will be felt as a trend toward temperatures not reaching as far above 100, and for afternoon humidity to be a bit higher than what we have seen Monday and Tuesday.

Nightime/morning humidity will continue to be high as we lose contact with dry air still present above.

I’m expecting clear and humid tonight, low in the high 70′s. Mostly sunny Wednesday, high near 105. Partly to mostly sunny Thursday through Tuesday, highs 101 to 103.
