LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) -Our sister city survived the toughest week yet since they began fighting the coronavirus that’s according to the mayor of Nuevo Laredo.

During a virtual press conference, the mayor of Nuevo Laredo Enrique Rivas claims last week was the hardest the city has faced.

Rivas went on to remind the community that they lost so many lives to the global pandemic, including doctors.

After four months of trying to flatten the curve, last week, they saw one of the steadiest rises in positive cases.

The mayor continues to ask everyone in Nuevo Laredo to do their part as they continue to fight the virus.
