CBP officers arrest man wanted for rape of a child

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) -Federal agents arrest a man wanted for rape of a child at a Laredo port of entry.

The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge when a CBP officer referred a Honduran citizen who was arriving from Mexico to secondary inspection.

Using a biometric verification check, records revealed that 23-year-old Luis Bartolo Padilla Matute had an outstanding warrant for rape of a child out of Worchester, Massachusetts.

CBP officers arrested Matute and he was taken to the Webb County Jail to await criminal proceedings.
