City appoints new planning & zoning director
This comes almost a month after former planning director James Kirby Snideman resigned from the position
LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) -The City has appointed Orlando Navarro as the new Planning and Zoning Director for the City of Laredo.
During Monday night’s City Council meeting, members approved City Manager Robert Ead’s appointment of Navarro to the position.
This comes almost a month after former planning director James Kirby Snideman resigned from the position due to personal family matters.
Navarro is a native Laredoan with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from TAMIU.
He served as a planning and zoning commission member for eight years.
Eads says, “Between the different positions that he has performed, along his various awards for valuable contributions to the local community, Orlando is a great and welcome asset to our team. He is a crucial addition to our team, especially coming to us directly from the private sector in Laredo,”
Navarro will assume his new role on July 1.
