LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - A high pressure system aloft is associated with hot desert air from the Mexican Plateau. The hot dry air reaches aloft as far north as south and central Texas. Lower down is the very moist air coming in from the gulf. There does not appear to be any obvious weather systems that could move the upper level high associated with the desert air. The partly to mostly sunny hot and humid days will likely continue through the 7 day forecast period. As long as the very warm desert air remains aloft above south Texas, clouds that could grow tall enough to bring showers are unlikely to form.

I’m expecting partly cloudy warm and humid tonight, low in the upper 70′s. Partly to mostly sunny Wednesday through Sunday, high in the upper 90′s to around 100. Partly cloudy Monday and Tuesday, high in the high 90′s.
