Laredo water boil alert enters day 12

LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - Wednesday marks the 12th day since the city issued a boil water notice to residents of south and central Laredo.

Back in 2019, a boil water notice was issued for 11 days.

According to a spokesperson for the City of Laredo, they are still waiting on TCEQ to give them the greenlight to remove the notice.

However, on Tuesday, State senator Judith Zaffirini posted on her social media that they are hopeful the notice will be lifted soon, possibly by Wednesday.

Zaffirini states that on Tuesday the city collected bacteriological samples at 68 sites and submitted them to the Health Department for analysis.
