National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week

LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - This week, we take time to honor those who are on the other end of the phone line during an emergency.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week started yesterday and runs through April 16.

A dispatcher is generally the first point of contact the actual first responder and the unseen hero behind the scenes.

Their job is thankless, and they deserve this week of recognition and honor.

Please thank the telecommunications team over at the Laredo Police Department.

It’s also important to mention that the department is looking for new members to join their team.
