Rain chances continue
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) -Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move inland through the day. Some of the storms will be capable of locally heavy rainfall over the Coast that could produce flooding in poor drainage areas. Above-average temperatures will continue early this week with highs ranging from the lower to upper 90s Wednesday and Thursday before dropping into the lower to mid-80s Friday and upper 70s for this weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to diminish by early evening. Overnight lows ahead of the front will range from the mid to upper 70s before cooling into the lower 60s to lower 70s this weekend with some spots possibly in the upper 50s Sunday night. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected through Wednesday before increasing in coverage to numerous as a cold front pushes through South Texas Thursday into Friday. Moderate to heavy rain is expected with the possibility of flooding in low lying areas Thursday and Friday. Rain chances will begin to taper off and drop below 20% Sunday as the drier air filters into the region.Have great day and stay weather aware.
