Lake Casa Blanca inviting community to Archaeology fair

LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Lake Casa Blanca is inviting community members to a fun and educational event the whole family will dig.

The park will be hosting an Archaeology fair this weekend at the lake.
The event will feature activities, presentations, games, arts and crafts, giveaways and even a demonstration on how to create your own arrowheads.

The lake will also have informational booths that will teach participants what archaeology is and how we still use it today to find some of the most amazing artifacts.

Organizers say local Native Americans will give participants a glimpse into their culture where you can learn about all their different rituals and traditions.

Archaeological experts will also be on hand to provide community members information about any different artifacts they want to bring to the table.

The event is free and open to the public; however, attendees will have to pay the park fee.

The event will take place on Saturday, October 13th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
