Arlington student arrested for making threat against school

ARLINGTON, TX (CBS DFW) - A ninth grade student at a Dallas area charter school is arrested after allegedly threatening the school in a social media post.

According to the Arlington Police Department, the incident happened on Thursday evening when a student at Uplift Summit Academy showed a parent a post regarding an alleged school threat.

The post showed a video of a student putting a gun into a backpack with a caption that said, “Do not come to school tomorrow.”

Overnight, authorities were able to locate the student responsible for the post and determine that it was a BB gun.

The student was arrested and charged with making a terroristic threat.
