LAREDO, TEXAS (KGNS) - A Border Patrol agent fired his weapon after being physically assaulted on the Laredo border.
The incident happened Monday evening at around eight o' clock south of Laredo.
Agents responded to suspected illegal activity, and attempted to apprehend a group of undocumented immigrants.
One of the mean allegedly assaulted an agent.
In a statement released from Border Patrol they say, "The Border Patrol agent discharged his service-issued weapon. No injuries have been reported at this time and the incident is under investigation."
