Border Patrol agent arrested for sexual assault and tampering with evidence

A Border Patrol agent finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

Laredo Police arrested 32-year-old David Villarreal in the case.

Villarreal is facing charges of sexual assault, tampering with physical evidence and official oppression.

According to police, a victim told an officer that she had been sexually assaulted.

During the investigation officers were able to verify that Villarreal was the agent accused in the case.

In collaboration with Border Patrol and the Office of Professional Responsibility, police were able to make an arrest in the case.
