Border Patrol agents provide first aid after rollover accident

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) - Border Patrol agents provided medical assistance to two women who were involved in a rollover accident over the weekend.

According to Border Patrol, on Mach 10th agents were called out to assist Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies with a rollover accident on Highway 59.

Agents who were certified as Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on scene and provided first aid to the two females.

The women were both transported to a Laredo hospital for further medical treatment.

Assistant Chief Patrol Agent Gabriel H. Acosta says, “These events illustrate how the men and women of the United States Border Patrol not only serve to protect our borders, but are also committed to the preservation of life and assist anyone in need.”

Officials say none of the women sustained life-threatening injuries.
