LAREDO, TX (KGNS) - Border Patrol agents find more than clothes and toiletries inside a suitcase in the compartment of a passenger bus.
According to Border Patrol, the incident happened on August 6th at the I-35 checkpoint when a canine alerted agents to the presence of narcotics.
When agents searched the bus, they found two suitcases with six bundles of marijuana. The marijuana weighed about 56 pounds and had an estimated street value of $45,232.
Agents say that none of the passengers on the bus claimed ownership of the suitcases.
No arrests were made in the case and the marijuana was turned over to the DEA.
